Wilmington Pedicab is a locally owned and operated company that operates Pedicabs with qualified and trained drivers on a daily basis. Pedicabs serve as a mode of pedal-powered transportation for residents, tourists, and late-night partygoers. In addition to providing transportation, Pedicabs serve as a form of entertainment (transportainment, if you will) that allows customers an opportunity to learn fun facts about Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach while traveling to their destination.
Wilmington Pedicab is currently looking for drivers of all ages and backgrounds to fill a wide range of available shifts. This company is owned by a UNCW Alumnus so we are sympathetic with schedules.
Operating hours include Monday through Sunday (9AM until 3AM) through a variety of shifts.
Wilmington Pedicab offers a relaxed work environment, flexible scheduling, a great workout, and an opportunity for drivers to make great money. No previous experience is necessary, as training will be provided upon employment.

Most Important Qualities:
Willpower– Drivers must be able to pull 400-700 LBS for approximately 4 to 6 hours. In addition, as we all know the weather in Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach can change at the drop of a hat, therefore, drivers have to be tough and durable. We will operate, rain or shine and throughout most of the winter. Some of the best drivers aren’t in the best shape, only willing to work hard in exchange for excellent pay.
Knowledge – Drivers must be able to efficiently travel throughout the city and have working knowledge of modern 21-speed bicycle operations. Drivers must be able to learn the previously mentioned areas as well as hotels and various land marks throughout downtown.
Self-Motivation – As a tipped employee, the driver has the ability to profit from hard work. The more motivated, energetic, and punctual the driver is, the more profitable the driver will be.
Good attitude – People in the service industry are most successful when they have a great attitude because it ultimately adds value to a customer’s experience.
Night Schedule – Night shifts may be the most profitable, and thus have the most demand. These shifts will run into the early hours of the morning.

Duties:
After training, which will consist of one week, essentially , you will be on your own to do as you wish. There will be certain guidelines (such as hours of operation and uniform requirements) but otherwise, you are your own boss.
You will ride around and offer rides to whomever you want. You can choose whatever route YOU think will be most profitable for you.
At the end of the shift, turn in the pedicab to the next driver in the same condition that you received it in.
Driving a Pedicab should be a fun and enjoyable experience.
